The Butsu Studio at Big River Farm
There is always something changing at Big River Farm.
There is always something changing at Big River Farm. Flowers open in the garden, fruit ripens in the orchard, the light shifts through the redwoods, and new ideas find their way into the Butsu.
This summer, the art has been moving beyond the studio. I was delighted to exhibit with the Mendocino Eco Artists in support of the Mendocino Land Trust in Celebrating the Natural World at Ravens Restaurant. Three of my pieces, Strawberry Dance, Cherry Blossom Song, and Fuchsias, are included in the exhibition.
Back at Big River Farm, new Mindful Moments follow the changing seasons, the pollinator garden is buzzing with visitors, and the forest trails invite us to wander and notice what is happening around us.
We have also been growing the Butsu Market, offering Zendo guests a way to bring home artwork inspired by the flowers, forests, ocean, and changing seasons of the Mendocino Coast.
As summer shifts toward autumn, the light at Big River Farm is changing once again, bringing new inspiration with it.
